Dessert Boxes was conceived out of our disappointment of sending and get receiving dull gifts, which would wind up being discarded, biting the dust, never utilized, and, best case scenario, gifted to someone else.
So, a week before Valentine's Day last year, we launched a Nutella themed Dessert Box! We collaborated with the biggest dessert makers in the industry, and within five days, we sold over 400 boxes! We searched for the best products on Instagram and did Google searches to find Nutella themed products.
We sold all the boxes through social media, utilising influencer marketing and facebook advertising.
We contacted influencers on Instagram, asking them whether they'd like to be the first people to receive a Dessert Box in Sydney in exchange for a post on their page. As an avid Instagram user for personal use, I would see this on Instagram all the time so decided to try it for our business and it worked!
When we first started out, we didn't have much knowledge in Facebook advertising, so I would watch youtube demonstrations and learnt how to target people in Sydney who were in a relationship and potentially looking for a gift for Valentines Day
Collaborating with other Dessert markers allowed us to leverage their following and promote to a wider audience.
When you get caught up and forget to order your colleagues birthday present the day prior, Dessert Boxes never fail to exceed well beyond my expectations every single time. Dessert Box is very fresh and very very tasty, these Dessert Box were a wonderful gift for an isolation birthday. They totally need to sell packs of the confectionary they use to fill all the spaces in the box, these were absolutely delicious!
I guess the only thing I'd like to see change is a choice in what flavours you want in the box, and an extended range of flavours Dessert Box.
All orders are delivered on date selected before 5pm on the date selected. There are some exceptions to this but all orders are generally delivered by 5pm.
Same day deliveries (ordered over the phone) to business addresses should arrive by 5pm.
Please note that delivery windows are wider on big occasions such as Valentine's Day, Christmas etc.. Workplaces should be delivered by 5pm and residential addresses delivered by 6pm. Note these times may be extended due to the volume sent on these occasions. Our drivers will do their best to deliver within these time frames but there may be situations beyond our control.
Deliveries to Wollongong workplaces are completed between 3pm and 5pm and residential between 3pm and 6pm.
Please note that we do not deliver to Flinders, Shell Harbour, Albion Park, Yallah, Shell Cove.
All desserts are baked daily. For the best taste and quality, desserts should be eaten on the day of delivery.
Most packaged items can be stored in room temperature. Brookies, brownies and all baked goods need to be stored in the fridge if they are to be consumed at a later date. If you are unsure on how to store your desserts, please give us a call and we will advise.
YES. We use nuts in almost everything we do. We cannot guarantee that a product will not come in contact with nuts. Please contact us to discuss any food allergies or intolerances before making an order at [email protected]
Orders can be cancelled prior to 48 hours prior to the scheduled delivery date. Orders that are already prepared, dispatched or in transit cannot be cancelled or refunded.
Cancellation of order incurs a $50.00 administrative fee regardless of box value. Money will be refunded less this fee.
If cancellation notice is received at less than 48 hour notice - cancellation is void.
