Lemon, Lime and Bitters (Non-Alcoholic)

Lemon, Lime and Bitters is widely viewed as Australia's "National Drink". It's popularity grew from the custom of golf players having a drink of LLB after a match of golf. It is made to order in most bars and is the main cocktail Convict Aromatic Bitters was crafted for.

Ingredients:

1.25 litres of lemonade

1/2 cup of lime juice cordial

8 Dashes of Convict Aromatic Bitters

1 cup of ice cubes

Method:

Rim the inside (and optionally outside) of the glass with 4 to 5 dashes of bitters in a jug

Pour lemonade and lime cordial (15-30 mL) into glass.

Garnish with Lemon if desired.

Old Fashioned Cocktail

The old fashioned is a cocktail made by muddling sugar with bitters, adding whiskey or, less commonly, brandy, and garnishing with a twist of citrus rind. It is traditionally served in an old fashioned glass, which predated the cocktail.

Ingredients:

1/2 cup of ice cubes

2 dashes of Convict Aromatic Bitters

45 ml Bourbon or Rye whiskey

Maraschino cherry (optional)

1 sugar cube

Method:

Place sugar cube in old fashioned glass and saturate with Convict Aromatic Bitters

Add a dash of plain water. Muddle until dissolved.

Fill the glass with ice cubes and add whiskey.

Garnish with orange twist, and a cocktail cherry.

Pour drink into a martini glass and garnish with a maraschino cherry

Classic Manhattan Cocktail

Manhattan is a cocktail made with whisky, sweet vermouth, and bitters. While rye is the traditional whiskey of choice, other commonly used whiskies include Canadian whisky, bourbon, blended whiskey, and Tennessee whiskey.

Ingredients:

1/2 cup of ice cubes

2 part Rye Whiskey

1 part sweet vermouth

2 dashes of Convict Bitters

Orange peel

1 dash maraschino cherry juice (optional)

1 maraschino cherry

Method:

Fill 1/3 of a cocktail shaker with ice

Add whiskey, vermouth and bitters

Rub orange peel around the rim of the cocktail glass

Strain the drink into the glass

Add 1 to 2 Real Maraschino Cherries and enjoy

Gunner Cocktail (Non-Alcoholic)

The Gunner is a cocktail served in clubs, bars and golf clubs. It consists of equal parts ginger beer and ginger ale with a dash of Convict Aromatic Bitters and sometimes a measure of lime coridal or lemon juice

Ingredients:

1.25 litres of Ginger Beer

1/2 cup of lime juice cordial

1 teaspoon of Convict Bitters

1 cup of ice cubes

Method:

Rim the inside (and optionally outside) of the glass with 4 to 5 dashes of bitters in a jug

Pour Ginger Beer into glass.

Pour Lemon cordial into glass.

Garnish with Lemon if desired.
